Elite Dangerous: Project Ranger Test Flight Pt 2
Cmmdr's Log 21 April 3305
At 1:03 GMT on 21 April 3305 I departed Cleve's Hub in Eravate in The Orion, my Asp Explorer. My first waypoint desination was Praea Euq ZB-S b31-4 on my way to Morgan's Rock.
It was a quiet run; no interdictions, no aliens, no pirates; just spectacular views of nebulae, star systems, and over a dozen planets not yet discovered by other explorers to my name as well as several planets mapped using the detailed surface scanner.
It was a quiet run; no interdictions, no aliens, no pirates; just spectacular views of nebulae, star systems, and over a dozen planets not yet discovered by other explorers to my name as well as several planets mapped using the detailed surface scanner.
While I'm not great with the surface scanner yet I am getting better; at least I'd like to think I am.
At 3:28 GMT on 21 April 3305 I arrived at Praea Euq ZB-S b31-4 and was a little disappointed to find it just home to a pair of stars with no planets to make camp on. I proceeded to system Praea Euq EI-Q b32-9 where I landed on a quiet high metallic world that I was able to efficiently map (I AM getting better).
I am 938.72 ly from Eravate, 977.86 ly from Sol, and 3425.4 ly from Morgan's Rock.
Visual record was broadcast back to The Bubble and will be archived and available for re-watching shortly. It can be seen at Project Ranger Test Flight Pt 2 Visual Feed

Aura: After Darkfall The Secret of the Heart
Tonight our heroes were joined by two mysterious companions; one of which betrayed them at the last moment. They have completed their exploration of "The Haunted House" and are now ready to take confront what's left of the Order of the Kraken!
Death was almost imminent when surrounded by six smugglers, a traitor, and an enemy wizard one of our roguish heroes was struck down and nearly died. The others, including their leader Mordacai of the Broken Wall were badly wounded but overcame their enemies at the last moment.
Now, our heroes must find the final piece of the Order of the Kraken and stop their depredations on the town of Salt Mere to gain the favor of the Scythe of Tarkahnnan.

Project Ranger in Planning Phase
Cmmdr's Report April 17, 3305
I'm not flying tonight; I'm sitting in my berth in Cleve's Hub trying to determine a plan for Project Range. Looking at the great galactic map I am certain I want to strike the region east of the core, going through Circinus Transit and The Norma Expanse/Arm and heading out into the eastern edge of the Milky Way. Well, I guess "east" is a relative term here but you get my meaning.
My first thought is to strike out for Morgan's Rock in NGC 6188 and then strike north east into the black and wrap and eventually wrap around the core and come home via the Colonia route; possibly even stop at Explorer's Anchorage.
My second thought is to follow the path of deep space stations out to Colonia then launch across the core to Explorer's Anchorage and then head due east from there making a counter-clockwise exploration of the east, northeast, north, northwest, west, and southwest portions of the galaxy.
Morgans Rock is 4364.04 LY from my home base in Eravate. I believe I may scout that out soon.

Elite Dangerous: Project Ranger Test Run Pt 1.5
Project Ranger Test Run Pt 1.5
I've actually been back in the bubble for a couple of days I was out just under 1000 ly but it was very much a success. I discovered several small bodies and a few more useful bodies. Now I've returned to outfit for the longer expedition. I didn't broadcast my return home but I did record a test run in my Scarab where I figured out ground mining.

What I've Been Playing...
If you can't tell I've been absolutely entranced by both Elite Dangerous and Roll20 D&D of late which is causing my console work to significantly suffer. So sorry to Tallion, Celimbrimbor, and their army of mind-fucked orcs. I'm not sure if three weeks is enough to do a full review for Elite Dangerous but I'm going to try by this weekend.
I'm also going to try to get back into Shadows of War which is a much bigger game than Shadows of Mordor was. There's a stunning amount of stuff to do in it and I will admit I completely underestimated it; which in this case is a good thing!
Lastly I haven't played the latest chapter of Legacy of the First Blade in AC: Odyssey yet, either.

Project Ranger Test Run Pt 1
I am in the middle of nowhere landed safely on the moon of a gas giant. For my first night out I made it approximately 750 ly from Deciat and I've learned two things:
Even out In The Black there's a lot to see and do. I discovered a lone ice-bound world orbiting a distant star. I am very proud of my snow ball.
I also discovered that I was woefully, very, very woefully unprepared for this. Luckily during my video feed back home I encountered a friendly commander who taught me a lot about exploration and what to look for and what to expect.
I'm quite torn between returning home and beginning to prepare for my longer journey in a few weeks and taking another day or two to wander out here before turning around. I think I want to get at least 2000 ly out of Deciat before I turn back.
The start of my journey was rocky; between technical difficulties with my data feed and a lone pirate that thought he could interdict me even before I was out of site of Deciat made for a heart stopping few minutes but I've gotten quite good at only being interdicted when I want to be. My brand new Asp Explorer, the "Orion" is quite the vessel. It helps that I bought a better FSD, thrusters, and power plant before leaving. Now as I look out at this rocky moon I am tempted to take out my SRV to get a look around first-hand.

Further Exploration for the Pursuers of the Dragon
What happens when you combine a Quasit, a "Dragonpriest" (starving Troll), and a gatling gun arrow trap?
You get tonight's adventure, of course. Our heroes came out of it pretty scratched up but they did come out of it. And gained their first level, to boot!
