(Notes from Werner Keplin, Scholar of Narria City)
Shortly after dawn on this day mages throughout the Empire were found dying or dead. When night fell that evening, for the first time in almost four centuries, undead did not attack the living people of Narria somewhere within the Empire. The Undead Wars were over. It is believed that the mages died casting a spell to permanently banish the undead. (Real World Date: Before "Campaign Start")
The town of Neuman's Rock is besieged by a dark mage order. The heroes Valentin, Jack, Thorn, Neville, Tobias, Eva, and Dorloc move to defend the town. In a battle that lasts nearly to dawn, the cleric of Ce-Lai, Neville loses his life while the others battle the dark mage, Gorm's minions. In the end the evil is destroyed but the town of Neuman's Rock is burned and, according to Tobias, cursed. (Real World Date: Before "Campaign Start")
On this day on the plains of northern Rotharn an early migration of the Giant Run caused several injuries and two deaths up and down the River Rotharn on it's way toward the Wesmooran border. (Real World Date: 8/22/98, Game Alpha)
On this sad day, King Leod I was killed by an assassin. Additionally a legendary Ebon Knight was spotted and three of the heroes of Neuman's Rock met at a Mage Faire. (Real World Date: 10/3/98, Intercon 13.5)
Juggorahm Descending 27-28, 499
On these two days a trial was held relating to the Run incident in the Month of Mynon. Strange reports of Fay invasions came from northern Rotharn. (Real World Date: 11/27/98-11/28/98, Game Beta)
Day of Earth's Renewal to Kreegor Rising 1, 500
On the day of Earth's Renewal in the Gorheim mountains the tomb of the dwarven hero, Vr'rath was discovered by a group of scholars and mages. It is reported that a legendary Ebon Knight was destroyed by two descendants of the Crimson Blade. (Real World Date: 3/27/99-3/28/99, Game Gamma)
On these days the town of Pimoria was successfully defended from a band of marauding orcs. Curiously, present was a scholar who was a research assistant of myself, and one of the young Descendants who was last seen at Greta's Abbey. A curse was lifted from the town; only it seems, to be replaced by another. Rumors that a strange statue was actually seen walking around were passed among the locals. The grand Tribunal and Rite of Succession occured this day in the city of Durbe in the country of Rotharn. After some incident, a Nora Amstead, daughter of Leod I was crowned the first Queen of Rotharn. (Real World Date: 7/17/99, Intercon 14.5, Season 1 Game 1)
The contests deciding the government of the peace settlement are to be held at this time. Scheduled for this day will also be the signing, by the monarchs of Rotharn, Hessel, and Wesmoor, of the Treaty of Sylvan Glade. The treaty will end generations of bloodshed between humans and elves. Congratulations go to Ellie, mayor of the peace settlement and to Larin, the mute but effective Captain of the Guard who were given their holy assignements by Cardinal Falcar on Mynon 15, 500 at the outpost of Sylvan Glade.
Remember everyone, drinking and swamp troll hunting do not mix.
Month of Juggorahm Descending 6-7, 500
Dark and troubled times seem to be at hand. Lord Wulfgar has escaped justice and vile assassins have attacked Rotharn's beloved Queen Nora. Our heroes find themselves bedding in an old inne preparing for the winter and the completion of the Peace Settlement that shall be called, Paxton.
As the dark hand of winter closes on the land our heroes braved the depths of Hell and the wrath of hungry trolls and ratboars though some are changed forever by inner demons that consume them. What shall the outcome be? The only way to be sure it to come for season #2!(Real World Date: 11/6/99-11/7/99)
Month of Juggorahm Rising 14-15, 501
Lord Wulfgar has made good his claims of war as fighting has begun in Southern Rotharn. Another assassination attempt was made on Her Majesty, Queen Nora's life but was thwarted by the Brotherhood of the Broken Wall.
Sad news arrives from the town of Paxton today. Sorinulous, deputy mayor and scholar has been murdered by the fey of the Unseelie Court. Paxton found itself the center of many attacks by rebel soldiers. Many wonder if the peace town can survive a civil war. (Real World Date: 5/14/00-5/15/00)
Wondrous news arrives today by Imperial Courier. A signed surrender by the head of Wulfgar's forces ends the civil war in Rotharn. Her Majesty was said to have supped in Paxton to celebrate the armistice and commemorate the death of her father.
Other news arrives from Paxton that is odd and disconcerting. It would seem everyone had a strange nightmare that they all shared. And as always at this time of year, the Fey seemed to be as capricious as ever. One wonders what the future holds in store for the citizens and town of Paxton. (Real World Date: 10/27/00-10/28/00)
